The Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Santa Monica Boulevard is a landmark in west Los Angeles. Its construction was announced in 1937 and finally finished and dedicated in 1956. The building's design incorporates architectural screening and cast stone cladding, which were innovative building technologies in the 50's.
I think the Temple is beautiful, but it's a hard building to paint. This painting version emphasizes the sunset colors in the clouds.
In addition to the original painting for sale, I am offering a limited edition run of 100 archival giclee prints on 170gsm Eco Rag paper. Prints will be signed and numbered and sent with a certificate of authenticity.
