Artist Comments
Heber C Kimball's house is one of the best of the restored homes on the 'flats' in Old Nauvoo, Illinois. It was one of the first of the many homes that have been restored, having been purchased by the Kimball family in the 50's and restored by them. It's really a joy to see.
I sat on the grass over across the street by Orrin Porter Rockwell's monument and painted this plein air. When I paint something plein air, I can remember the sights, sounds and smells of that moment in time. It's a wonderful way to remember a place.
In addition to offering the original painting for sale, open edition signed prints with a certificate of authenticity are avaiable for sale in several sizes.
